The Department of History conducted field trip with first and second semester students on 11-1-2024. About 25 students were taken to the Buddhasri Archaeological Museum in Guntur and made aware of various inscriptions and students were informed about bronze, copper plates, palm leaves, coins, paintings and prehistoric artefacts.

Gender Equality & Sensitization Reservation for Women in Education and Employment
Brief Description:
A group of students from BA[HEP],BA[SHT],BA[PEP], Mercy kumari, Devika, Srilakshmi, Swaroopa lead by Dr. R. Anuradha ,Lecturer of History with the permission of the principal went to area of Butchaiah Thota, 1st Line , Guntur to execute the program chalked out to bring awareness among women about the reservation of women in education and employment.
The program was planned in advance and a request was made to the volunteer of the area Ms. Prasanna for gathering women of the area .After going there students had to knock doors further to gather women informing them the purpose of our visit, After gathering around 14th women. Our students started the program by explaining them about reservation of women. Followed by this, they explained in detail the following initiatives of the reservation for women using photographic, charts.

The 5-day TOT program is a specially designed training for History faculty members in various categories (regular, contract and guest) at GDCs. Successfully completed a five-day Non-Residential Training of Trainers (TOT) program. Encouraging active involvement from all faculty. A field Trip to Bhavani Island. To create awareness about tourist attractions and participation in activities related to Sankranti festival in Bhavani Island, Vijayawada. in which the participation all TTM students. 10-02-2023.
Students and Staff to Attend National Seminar at ANU. The Department of History and Tourism visited ANU's Department of Archeology and engaged students in a two-day national conference. The main objective of participating in the seminar. To educate students on how to prepare a seminar paper and how to present a seminar paper. 25/03/20233 & 26/03/2023.
To Conduct A Guest Lecture . The department has organized a Guest Lecture on 04-02-2023 for All BA Group Students this lecture to help students acquire knowledge and to motivate students. To all BA students how to prepared Competitive Exams and how to remember in key points in History subject.
ACTIVITIES FOR THE YEAR 2021-22
A Field Trip to Kondapalli Fort and Undavalli Caves The Department was organized a Field Trip program in which the participation all TTM students and made aware of the administration and laws of different rulers.During this period, the fort underwent further renovations and fortifications, the faculty informed the students. 1/12/2021
To Celebrate the National Tourism Day The department was organized National Tourism Day celebrations with the participation of all TTM students. The Department of History and Tourism has celebrate National Tourism Day is observed annually on January 25 to celebrate the importance of tourism in promoting cultural awareness, economic growth and international awareness. 25/01/2023.
