About the Department

• A long journey of 45 years has made the Commerce Department the largest in the college, as well as one which prides itself on shaping high achievers. A separate Block with 01 RCC Building with 02 floors consisting of 11 Lecture halls for Commerce Department was constructed in the year 2018, with RUSA funds.
• From the Academic Year 2023-24 under New Education Policy (NEP-2020) B.Com Honours Programmes are offered. i.e.
• Apart from Commerce and Skill Development Courses the strength of the department lies in the four core courses i.e., Commerce in Four major system and a Minor in Financial Management. The department is offers certificate courses on need basis.
• Students are encouraged with Merit Awards Our student get Best Community Service Project award of Commissionerate of College Education, Govt. of A.P. in 2023.
• Student Centric Teaching Learning Practices of the department such as pair work, group work, project based learning, ensured through activity based learning, Practical component on skills assessment ensured better achievement of intended Learning Outcomes.
• Seven Regular faculty members presently work in the department. The strength of the departments lies in 6 faculty being doctorates.
