DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES 2022-23

  • World Population Day Guest Lecture By Dr. P. Venu Babu: Department of Economics conducted World Population Day program on the occasion of World Population Day, resource person Dr. P. Venu Gopal HOD Dept of Economics Hindu College, Guntur. Sir presented Skill Population growth was very important for Economic development in developing Economy like India
  • Group Discussion: G. Malllikarjun, Lecturer in Economics conducted Group Discussion on Pros and Cons of Achievements of Plans for the Second year Fourth Semester students. As a part of Group Discussion,   students were grouped in to small groups and each group is assigned a topic on major pathways and their pros and cons were discussed by each one of the group member
  • Essay writing Competition: Department of Economics conducted Essay writing competition on the occasion of Independence day celebrations. All B.sc, B.com and B.A students are participated in this competition 25 no of students attended  
  • Guest Lecture By M. Pallavi old student of dept of Economics: Department of Economics conducted Guest lecture program resource person   M. Pallavi old student of Dept of Economics, she was Group I Officer Assistant  Treasury Officer, Nuzivid, Eluru  District she gave inspiration message to our BA students present competitive Exams and 42 students are participated in this program  and our principal madam also participated in this program     
  • Best Practise Activity: Department of Economics conducted Best practice activity on PG Entrance Coaching  program  the Department of Economics faculty has been given how to prepare PG entrance exam  APPGCET
  • Field Trip to Sangam Dairy and Agriculture University Bapatla: Department of Economics conducted Field Trip on 29-09-22, M.A and B.A Students total 42 No of students and 5 Faculty members are participated in this program. They are visited Sangam dairy in Tenali and Agriculture University in Bapatla. Most of the students awareness about agriculture development based Education system and primary Sector role in Indian economy   
  • Guest Lecture by D. Tirapathaiah : Department of Economics conducted Guest lecture program resource person D. Tirapathaiah, GDC Yerragondapallem  attended and he has given valuable lecture for importance of Digital Economy in any competitive Exams 38 students and department staff are participated in this occasion
  • International Women’s Day: Department of Economics conducted poster presentation on the occasion of International Women’s Day. All BA Groups are participated actively total no of students 25 and Honorable Principal Madam and other Department faculty and students are visited.
  • Extension Activity to visit Ponnikallu: Department of Economics conducted Extension activity Agriculture farmers awareness programme in ponnikallu village, Guntur District. BA Final FE Students and PG students  discuss with farmers, central and state level agriculture farmers policies information so this programme very useful both students and farmers
  • Essay Writing Competition: The department of Economics conducted a college level Essay Writing competition on Banking Sector Reforms on 01-05-2023 with collaboration of Indian Bank, Guntur. Number of students were participated in the competition. Prizes were distributed to winners through Manager, Indian Bank, Guntur
  • Elocution Competition: The department of Economics conducted a college level elocution competition on Banking Sector Reforms on 01-05-2023 with collaboration of Indian Bank, Guntur. Number of students were participated in the competition. Prizes were distributed to winners through Manager, Indian Bank, Guntur
  • Quiz Competition: The department of Economics conducted a college level Quiz competition on Banking Sector Reforms on 01-05-2023 with collaboration of Indian Bank, Guntur. Number of students were participated in the competition. Prizes were distributed to winners through Manager, Indian Bank, Guntur
  • One Day Workshop: The Department of Economics is conducted a Workshop on Banking Sector by Indian Bank Manager, Guntur 03-05-2023.  He created awareness to students through hands on training  on banking sector functions and how to done bank operations in our daily life

  • JAM (Just A Minute ): Department of Economics conducted Just A minute Programme For I B.A (FE) Students in their Syllabus related Concepts All Students are very active to participating the programme
  • World Literacy Day: Department of Economics conducted  World Literacy Day on 08-09-2021 for All B.A groups and in charge of the dept of Economics delivered voluble message for  students
  • National Education Day: Department of Economics, History And Political Science conducted National Education  Day on 11-11-2021 for All B.A groups and  Ajay Kumar Faculty of the dept of Economics delivered voluble message for  students.
  • Guest Lecture by Dr. M. Babu Rao: The Department of Economics of GCW(A), Guntur conducted a Guest Lecturer Class by Dr. M. Babu Rao, Lecturer in  Economics of GDC, Ulavapadu, Prakasham District. He delivered his lecture to III B.A Students  on  Importance of Economics in Daily Life. 47 students are participated in this programme
  • Guest Lecture by M. Yedukondalu: The Department of Economics of GCW(A), Guntur conducted Guest Lecture Class by Yedukondala Rao,  Lecturer in Economics from  GDC,  Chebrolu, Guntur  District. He delivered his lecture to I B.A Students  on Topic-  Banking Reforms in India.  35 students are participated in this programme
  • Field Trip to Pedana and Machilipatnam: The Department of Economics arranged field Trip Program on 17-12-2021 with  III B.A Students and M.A Economics Students. They visit in Machillipatnam  Handlooms Kalamkari Industry and Rold Gold Jewellery Park
  • Guest Lecture by D. Muni Swami: The Department of Economics of GCW(A), Guntur conducted Guest Lecture Class by  Dr. Dasari Muni Swami,  Assistant Professor  in Department of Economics, B.J.R  Government Degree College, Narayanaguda, Hyderabad, T.S   . He delivered his lecture to I B.A Students  on Topic-  Banking Reforms in India.  35 students are participated in this programme.

DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES 2020-21

  • National Education Day: of Economics conducted National Education Day, on 11-11-2020, Vandana (HEP) student explained importance of quality of education. And our college Economics department staff and 34 students participated in this programme. And students are aware to the quality of education to achieve greater heights. The programme was appreciated by students and staff
  • Human Rights Day: of Economics conducted Human Rights Day, on 10/12/2020, Department of Economics staff members and All Humanities and social science collaborate with 52 No. of students are participated in the programme. The programme was appreciated by students and staff
  • Quiz programme: of Economics conducted quiz programme, on 03/02/2021, III BA(HEP) students are participated in this programme topic syllabus related Economics Topics covered for every competitive exam all students are very interested  
  • International Women’s Day: of Economics conducted International Women’s day, on 08/03/2021, Department of Economics staff members and BA Final Year in All groups 25 No. of students are participated in the programme. Students prepared  Posters  of achiever in  Economic Empowerment Women in  all over the world and some students are participated in Elocution programme The programme was appreciated by students and staff

  • National Population Day : of Economics conducted National  population Day, on 11-07-2019,  Dept .of Economics staff members and 54 No. of students  are participated in the programme , I B.A student M. Hari Priya explained  problems of high population in Developing countries like India
  • Mana TV Online Class: of Economics conducted through CCE Office online class on 27/07/19 , topic – concepts of (SEZ) Special Economic Zones, Speaker-Dr. M.V. Seshaiah. Anantapur, Lecturer in Economics GDC . 34 students are participate in this programme
  • Mana TV Online Class: of Economics conducted through CCE Office online class on 18-12-19 , topic – concepts of Inflation, types of Inflation, RBI controlling measures , Speaker-Dr. G. Yella Krishna Garu, Lecturer in Economics GDC(M),Kurnool . 34 students are participate in this programme
  • Field Trip to Bapatla: of Economics conducted a field trip on 18-12-2019 And how to use high yield variety seeds and crop pattern of that area. 54 No. of students participated in this field trip
  • Quiz Competition: of Economics conducted Quiz  competition on 14-10-2019, topic- Macro Economic concepts organized by Dr. Prasanna Josphen .R 24 students are participated in that programme, groups are divided into 4 groups they are A,B,C,D, respectively
  • Guest Lecture By V. Koteswara Rao: of Economics conducted a Guest lecture on Keynesian Employment Theory  by V. Koteswara Rao Garu, Lecture in Economics, Chebrolu, Guntur, on 22/01/2020. And he explained the importance Keynesian Employment theory  . 64 No. of students are participated in this programme
  • Guest Lecture By Dr. M. Babu Rao: of Economics conducted a Guest lecture on the Role of Agriculture in Indian Economy by Dr. M. Babu Rao , Lecture in Economics, , Guntur, on 22/01/2020. And he explained  the  Role of Agriculture in Indian Economy    . 24 No.of students are participated in this programme
  • Extension Activity for Girl child Education: Dept .of . Economics. GCW(A), Guntur, II B.A (F.E, H.E.P, P.E.P) students and PG students are conducted Extension activity on 28/01/20. They visit Nehru Nagar 7th line Government primary school  education institution, organized by Dr. R. Prasanna josphen, lecturer in Dept of Economics, 15 no. of students are participated in this programme and primary school teachers are also participated. I B.A Students Sk. Shahin, k.Nagalakshmi and Suseela explained importance of school education

  • FIELD TRIP to Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University: of Economics conducted a field trip on 29-12-2018 And how to use high yield variety seeds and crop pattern of that area. 30 No. of students participated in this field trip
  • FIELD TRIP to Polavaram Project: of Economics conducted a field trip on 10-08-2018 Agriculture depending upon by water resources, polavaram project is big water resource project . 54 No. of students participated in this field trip
  • FIELD TRIP to Janmma Bhumi Programme : of Economics conducted a field trip on 05-01-2019 in Janmmabhumi progaramme to aware environment development our surroundings. 15 No. of students participated in this field trip
  • Guest Lecture By Koteswara Rao: Dept. of Economics conducted a guest lecture on  Causes of  Sustainable development by V. Koteswara rao on 28-01-2019. And he explained the   Economic sustainability. 62 No. of students are participated in this programme
  • Guest Lecture By Ch. Surya Prakasa Rao: of Economics conducted a Guest lecture on Ch. Surya Praksa Rao on 04-02-2019. And he explained the Agriculture in Economic Devlopment in India since Independence of our country .staff and 54 No.of students are participated in this programme
