Biography

A passionate teacher with 30 years of experience, believes in facilitating learning than in preaching. Equipped with the advantages of student centric teaching methods and communicative language teaching methods under the tutelage of George Bishop Junior, English Language Fellow USA, she innovates in classroom through student centric language teaching activities. She is a designer of courses for AP State Council of Higher Education and designed courses in Communicative English and Special English. In addition, she is into material development as she has authored/ coauthored student centric course books as well as edited such course books commissioned by APSCHE and APCCE.  

Her passion is not confined to teaching just students but is extended to share with her colleagues by training them in Student Centric Pedagogy, Communicative Language Teaching Methods, Blooms Taxonomy in planning lessons, teaching, and assessment and Outcome Based Education. She is a certified ELF Master Trainer by Regional English Language Office USA and APCCE. She has conducted almost 50 workshops for the faculty of UG colleges and Engineering Colleges. The faculty trained are many times are from across disciplines and are not confined to English language.

Love for ‘Quality’, which is the driving force behind all the activities that she takes up, also makes her assist the administrations in quality assessment and she has been Coordinator for NAAC at college as well as regional level for the last 12 years.

Language, which is her love, defines her hobbies too. Culture, identity, ethnic history are the areas  that inspire her reading choices. She has collaborated with Dr.Koganti VijayaBabu in bringing out a collection of critical essays Padamati Ragam on the western writers in Telugu and translation of poems written by Sahitya Academy award winning writer Devipriya  titled Sleeping with Rainbow
