Biography

Dr. M. Swarna Latha, currently employed as a Sociology lecturer (Guest Faculty) at Government College for Women (A) in Guntur, was appointed by Council of Board Members of GCW, Guntur.

Alongside her teaching commitments, Dr. M. Swarna Latha is currently got her Ph.D degree in Sociology the title of the study is an “Impact of MGNREGS on Socio-economic Development of Schedule Caste Women in Rural Andhra Pradesh-A case study in Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh” from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, building upon her academic foundation that includes an M.A. Sociology, M.A. History, B.Ed. from Acharya Nagarjuna University and DMR(Spl.D.Ed.) from Thakur Hari Prasad Institute, DSNR, Hyderabad.

Dr. Swarna Latha professional journey has been marked by Academic experiences. Since 2023, she has been sharing her expertise and passion for Sociology with her students at Government College for Women (A), Guntur. Prior to her teaching role, she served as an Lecturer at TJPS Collage, Guntur and also worked at Mahatma Gandhi Collage, Guntur gaining valuable academic teaching experience in Sociology.

Beyond her professional commitments, Dr. Swarna Latha nurtures various interests and hobbies. She finds solace and enrichment in reading books and poetry, particularly those in Telugu literature. Additionally, she channels her creativity through creative writing.
