Biography

Dr. Latha Bellamkonda, a lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at Govt. College for Women (A), Guntur, was recruited through direct recruitment by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) in 2018. Dr. Latha completed her Ph.D. in 2016 from Osmania University, Hyderabad, with work carried out at IICT-Hyderabad through CSIR-JRF and SRF fellowships. She received her Master’s degree from Pondicherry University and was awarded a gold medal for being the topper in M.Sc. (Chemical Sciences).

Besides her teaching commitments, Dr. Latha was commissioned as a Lieutenant after completing PRCN/SW/104 at Gwalior, M.P. from 22 Jul 2019 to 19 Oct 2019 and secured ‘A’ grade. She has participated in several ATC and CATC camps. She has been discharging her duties as ANO for GCW(A) NCC unit under 10(A) Girls Bn, Guntur since 2019 and has become a great source of motivation and support for her cadets.

Prior to joining this faculty position, she served as a Guest faculty at RGUKT-IIIT, Ongole from July 2017 to May 2018 and worked as a Research Trainee at Institute of Life Sciences (Dr. Reddy’s), University of Hyderabad from January 2008 to January 2009.
