Biography
Anitha Kumari, currently employed as a Home Science Lecturer at Government College for Women (A) in Guntur, was recruited through direct recruitment by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC). And she has gained over 12 years of teaching experience in the college education with a strong commitment to excellence embodying the ideals of college.
Anitha Kumari earned her Ph.D. in Extension Education from Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, Hyderabad. Complementing her doctoral degree, she holds the NET in ICAR and has completed the International Agricultural Rural Development Programme INTAG 402 & 602 from Cornell University in the year 2008, Ithaca, New York, during her pursuit of the Ph.D. degree. Her professional journey has been marked by diverse experiences, reflecting her dedication to continuous learning and growth.
Since June 2011, she has been sharing her expertise and passion for teaching home science with her students at Government College for Women (A), Guntur. Prior to her teaching role, she served as an Instructor at Middle level training centre, Extension Training centre, Hyderabad. She also held the position of Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) at Krishi Vigyan Kendre, Garikapadu ANGRAU.
Beyond academia, Anitha finds enjoyment in activities such as newspaper reading and staying updated with national news channels. Her diverse interests outside the classroom underscore her well-rounded personality and commitment to staying informed about current affairs.
