Consumer Club
The Consumer Club at Government College for Women (A), Guntur, is dedicated to raising awareness and fostering understanding among students regarding their rights and responsibilities as citizens of India, particularly in the context of consumer protection laws outlined in the Consumer Protection Act of 1986 and its 2019 amendment.
Objectives
- To educate students about their duties and responsibilities as citizens and consumers.
- To promote awareness of consumer rights as stipulated by the Consumer Protection Act.
- To collaborate with the Consumer Association of India (CAI) for conducting workshops and awareness programs on various consumer-related topics.
The Consumer Club
- Empowers students with knowledge and awareness of consumer issues.
- Equips students with life skills and confidence to navigate consumer-related challenges.
- Creates awareness about consumer laws and rights.
- Encourages responsible consumer behavior to build better citizens for the future.
