Mission


  • ICC meets on a need basis to address any complaints from students, teaching and nonteaching members and takes necessary action.

  • To create a secure physical and social environment to deter any act of sexual harassment.

  • To promote a social and psychological environment to raise awareness on sexual harassment in its various forms.

About ICC


Internal Compliance Committee is established in 2019 in pursuance of UGC (Prevention, prohibition and redressal of sexual harassment of women employees and students in higher educational institutions) regulations, 2015 read with Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. This committee deals with the complaints relating to Sexual Harassment at workplace to provide an opportunity to the staff and students to bring their issues to the notice of the higher authorities in order to create a congenial atmosphere of mutual trust and respect.

The members on receipt of a complaint look after it by conducting preliminary enquiryto ascertain the truth of the allegations by collecting the documentary evidence and witnesses including the complainant. In case the allegations are not in the nature of sexual harassment, ICC may refer such complaints to the Grievance Redressal cell

ICC shall comply with the procedure prescribed in the UGC regulations 2015 mentioned above and the sexual harassment Act for inquiring into the complaint in a time bound manner.

If ICC concludes during the enquiry that the allegations made were false or the complaint was made knowing it to be false to mislead the team then such complainant will be closed immediately and no further enquiry will be done

The convener or the member of ICC shall receive the complaint through grievance box or grievance mail or directly and then it will be coordinated for further procedures.
